I am a Questbridge Scholar who got matched to Wellesley on December 1st of 2016 and who had no idea the ways that day would change the entire course of my life. I am an only child to a single mother (hi Mom!), and I’m eternally grateful for her continued sacrifices to get me where I am today. I am a first-generation college student, a current Wellesley student, and a forever student of life. I am a proud Haitian-American and I’m a member of the LGBTQ+ community. (I’m sure it doesn’t help that I’m writing this post while sitting at home in my middle and high school bedroom in South Florida!) Alas– I’m here now, and I’m more than happy to share with you parts of myself and my journey to becoming a Wellesley College senior! To ring in this blog, here are some (a lot of) facts and photos that I feel introduce who I am pretty well: I feel like I was just a senior in high school, so to now be introducing myself as a senior in college feels absolutely unreal. I have no idea how this moment has arrived so quickly, knowing that so much in my life has happened since I first became a Wellesley student. My name is Tatiana Ivy Moise, and I’m now officially a senior at Wellesley! The second half of that sentence still doesn’t even sound real to me yet.
